WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO...
I can't really pinpoint the shift from families to seniors, but it has definitely and officially happened. I think, as an introvert, my need to connect with people on a one-on-one basis has been the driving force behind the change. Don't get me wrong; I very much love my family sessions and those moments of interaction, but my heart is happiest when I just get to talk to YOU. One person, nature, pretty light, good conversation, and probably some giggling in there too.
Fall of 2024 was the hardest and best season I've ever had. All of these seniors pictured here were photographed from July thru the end of October. They will graduate in May of 2025 (or graduated in December already!). The best part was getting to know them. The worst part was that I tore my meniscus on August 6th with an already fully booked fall ahead of me. I panicked in the worst way, but every single person that was on my calendar was supportive and kind. Because of a previously scheduled overseas trip in November, and against the better advice of my not-so-happy surgeon, I delayed my surgery repair to November 21st so that 1) I could travel and 2) I could get through all the lovely clients who had booked with me early in the year for this time. It was a risk of more damage to my knee, but thankfully that didn't happen. Sometimes the worst things we imagine in those moments just don't come true. Thank goodness for that!
I'm very much on the mend and I'm *very* eager to get back to this job I love so very much. I recognize that maybe that sounds weird or overeager, but when I tell you this work brings me joy, I'm being fully honest. I've yet to meet a senior I didn't love.
During this time off, I've been working hard to update my website as well as my availability calendar. My family sessions are open all the way through the year as are my senior sessions for Class of 2025 & 2026 seniors. A benefit of being an empty nester is that I have that ability now to not have to navigate my own children's schedules. (Don't get me wrong; I miss those days!)
If you are at all interested in adding your senior to this wonderful collection of sessions I've done, please visit my booking link below. Make sure to scroll to the appropriate year of graduation in order to see which calendar applies to you. I am forever grateful for your trust in me.
