The Biggest Heart
She walked into the shelter and asked to see the "least adoptable" cat. And that's how she met TomTom, an elderly ginger tomcat with some health challenges, just waiting to be loved for the rest of his life. This is exactly who I want to be.
I am incredibly inspired by people who give of their hearts without expecting anything in return. The ones who know that the journey may be difficult and, at times, heartbreaking, but they do it anyway. This is my new friend. She oozes grace and compassion, and I felt it within the first five minutes of being in her beautiful home. Senior dogs. Elderly cats. The biggest-eared bunny I've ever seen... and there were a few pets I didn't even get to meet. She is currently fostering Hancock, the rabbit, with EARPS, Inc (Exotic Animal Rescue & Pet Sanctuary.) The joy on her face as she interacts with her beloved animals is precisely what I was hoping to capture for her. Thank you for inspiring my heart and motivating me to do more.
